Trojans Comeback Falls Short!

Trojans fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 9-7 loss to Hasltett on Tuesday. Hasltett scored on a stolen base , a groundout by #3, and a double by #5 in the second inning.
Despite the loss, Trojans did collect 11 hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Hasltett had seven hits on the way to victory.
Trojans captured the lead in the first inning. With two outs in the first inning Josh Norwood drove in one run when he doubled.
Hasltett took the lead for good with six runs in the second inning. In the second a runner stole home, #3 grounded out, scoring one run, and #5 doubled off of Aiden Rudy, driving in one run.
#9 earned the win for Hasltett. He pitched four innings, giving up six runs, ten hits, and striking out six. Rudy took the loss for Trojans. He tossed one and one-third innings, giving up six runs, three hits, and striking out two.
Cameron Darnell, Rudy, and Sam Busch each collected multiple hits for Trojans. Busch, Rudy, Benno Staszewski, Darnell, and Norwood each drove in one run to lead Trojans. Trojans stole six bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Darnell led the way with three.
#9 and #5 each collected multiple hits for Hasltett. #2 led Hasltett with three stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with ten stolen bases.
