Holt, MI — The Lady Trojan Swimmers and Divers defeated Holt on Thursday Oct 10th in a fast-paced, exciting meet. The final score was East Lansing 92, Holt 91. When asked about the highlight of the night, Coach Marsh said there were more best times at this meet than any contest yet this season; at least 14. “The girls really pushed themselves tonight,” he went on to say. “They gave a good effort.” This was the first league win for the team, and the score was closer than Coach Marsh thought it was going to be.
“This is the youngest team in the league,” reported Marsh. “We have 2 senior swimmers and 1 senior diver.” “If we flash-forward, and all these girls keep swimming and competing in water polo, we will see amazing results just a couple of years down the road.”
Coach Marsh also added that swimming is not only good exercise, but a great way to release stress for a team that has a long tradition of solid academic performance.
The next meet for the Lady Trojan Swimmers and Divers will be at Grand Ledge, next Thursday, October 17, at 6:00 p.m. Everyone is invited out to cheer them on.
