FALL SPORTS INFORMATION SHEET
Congratulations, you are an East Lansing Trojan! Welcome to the proud tradition of East Lansing athletics. In the next four years, you will learn the values associated with athletic participation. Teamwork, dedication, desire, hard work, and sportsmanship are just a few of these values.
Eligibility and Fees
Eligibility All student athletes must be currently enrolled in East Lansing High School and must meet the following criteria to tryout and/or play an interscholastic sport:
- Have a current completed physical on file in the athletic office
- A completed consent to participate form on file in the athletic office
- Cumulative GPA of 1.8 or better and passed 66% of full time student class load the previous completed semester, (4 or 6 classes). This requirement is waived for first semester freshman.
- Must be on track for graduation in regards to credits earned.
Students in grades 10 through 12 and all 9th grade student who have attended another high school MUST review eligibility with the Athletic Director prior to participation.
Pay to Participate fee is *$275 PER SCHOOL YEAR per student. Family Cap $650
Pay to Participate fee is due prior to first scheduled competition date.

All financial assistance waiver requests must be submitted in writing to the ELHS Athletic Office. Waivers are granted for students who receive free or reduced lunch and those who demonstrate need. Free and reduced lunch application forms are available on the Food Service page at www.elps.us or call the Food Service Office (333-7473).
The East Lansing Public Schools does not carry supplemental insurance for student- athletes. Uninsured and/or under insured student athletes will be participating at your risk.
June 3, 2015 SPORTS PHYSICALS 6:00-7:30 PM ELHS Aux gym
New Physicals are required each year. Sports Physicals will be offered at East Lansing High School. Students should report to the Auxiliary Gym. Physicals are $25.00.
Parent signatures are required on the physical forms.
You must have a physical to participate in any practice or tryout session. Physicals must have been taken after April 15, 2015 to be valid for the 2015-2016 school year.
