Two Pitchers Team Up As East Lansing Trojans Varsity Shuts Out Charlotte
East Lansing Trojans Varsity defeated Charlotte 13-0 on Monday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Zach Wojcik induced a fly out from Monschein to finish off the game.
An early lead helped propel East Lansing Trojans Varsity to victory. East Lansing Trojans Varsity scored on a walk by Max Daust, a single by Ryan Pertner, a single by Levi Grandstaff, and a groundout by Gabe Morman in the first inning.
East Lansing Trojans Varsity captured the lead in the first inning. An error scored one run for East Lansing Trojans Varsity.
A single by Denny in the third inning was a positive for Charlotte.
Max Mathers earned the win for East Lansing Trojans Varsity. He went four innings, giving up zero runs, four hits, and striking out one. Seavolt took the loss for Charlotte. He threw three innings, giving up 11 runs, 12 hits, and striking out four.
