Game Recap

East Lansing Trojans used a balanced attack in wet conditions on Friday night to claim another CAAC Blue victory against the Vikings of Lansing Everett 28-0. Kobe Hayward led the ground attack with 23 carries for 123 yards. Connor Charamella was 8 of 11 for 111 yards and two touchdowns in the passing game. The Trojans first possession was a 10 play, 85 yard drive culminated with a 4 yard run by Roy Bellamy Crawford. After a short punt by Everett, Kobe Hayward completed the next possession with a 12 yard run. The other scores came through the air with Jackson Pugh catching a 16 yard pass in the 2nd quarter and Jack Morse catching a 13 yarder in the 4th quarter, both from Charamella. The defense for the Trojans was excellent as well. They completed the shutout with 7 tackles for a loss, 5 sacks, and an interception. Mykel Thornton led the defense with 8 tackles, 3 tackles for a loss, 2 sacks and a fumble recovery. East Lansing (5-2, 4-1) will travel to Lansing Sexton next Friday to take on the Big Reds. Lansing Everett fell to 1-6.
