Game Recap

East Lansing Trojans secured themselves a spot in the playoffs with a 9-7 victory over the Sexton Big Reds on Friday night. East Lansing moves to 6-2 on the season and plays Okemos next week for Senior Night. Jack Morse did all the scoring for the Trojans in this low scoring affair with a 30 yard field goal in the second quarter and a 45 yard reception from Connor Charamella in the fourth quarter. The defense forced three turnovers on the night and stuffed the last rushing attempt by Sexton to pull out the victory. Jamar Mills and Derrick Lee recovered fumbles and Malajai Matthews recorded an interception. Leading tacklers were Mykel Thornton, Spencer Tyler, and Mills. Charamella finished 8/16 for 121 yards and a touchdown to lead the offense.
