East Lansing defeated Ionia 10-0 on Friday as three pitchers combined to throw a shutout. The Trojans got their offense started in the first inning when Ben Johnson doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. East Lansing put up five runs in the fourth inning led by Charlie Wilk, Jack Morman, Emory Roberts, and Will Knapp, all driving in runs in the frame.
Aaron Wade earned the win for East Lansing Trojans JV. He went two innings, allowing zero runs on three hits, striking out two and walking one. Will Knapp and Thomas Hanley entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
Ben Johnson led East Lansing with two hits in four at bats and had 2 RBI’s. Will Knapp was 1 for 2 with 2 RBI’s as well. The Trojans didn’t commit a single error in the field.
