EAST LANSING- On a windy and cold April evening the Trojans managed to heat up their goal scoring with a 3-1 win over the Lansing Catholic Cougars,
Both teams managed to remain scoreless during the first 25 minutes of the game until Kali Francisco opened the scoring on a pass from Raegan Ooten. The Trojans entered halftime with a 1-0 lead.
East Lansing came out on fire in the second half and scored two goals in the first fifteen minutes. The first goal came from Julia Chenault on a nice pass from Kali Francisco. Sasha Rosa scored her first goal of the season with nice 25 yard shot to give East Lansing a 3-0 lead. Lansing Catholic scored with about 12 minutes left in the game and put a lot of pressure on the defenders led by Grace Kelley, Livi Novello, Maddey and Riley Crane who held their ground.
Emily Everest and Hope Dwyer split the game in net and shared the win.
East Lansing will host the EL Tournament. The Trojans will take on Parma Western at 11:45 and take on either Mason or Mt. Pleasant at 2:45PM.
East Lansing is 2-1 and 0-0 in the CAAC Blue.
